Charlotte, N.C. (April 2, 2016) - The first CARS Tour race of the 2016 racing season also coincided with Dalton Sargeant and the Windows 10 Accelerate Motorsports Toyota team's first ever CARS Tour start. It was one they would unfortunately like to forget, as heartbreak and bad luck plagued the team with another DNF from parts failure. Sargeant had set fast time in practice but qualified in the 9th position. That did not deter the 18 year old rookie driver as he marched through the field tracking down the leader when a clutch issue caused massive damage and forced the No. 55 to retire from the event.
"Tough luck once again, we definitely have a bad pattern of DNF's going at the memento and a bad luck bug that we just haven't got rid of yet. This time we broke a clutch, but I really felt like we could've competed for the win today. We practiced really well all weekend but missed it in qualifying but immediately were picking up those spots again in the race. Thanks to all the guys and Windows 10, we'll just go to Nashville and try to finally see a checkered flag."
