7/3 Oxford Plains Speedway - PASS

Charlotte, N.C. (July 3, 2016) - With one of the biggest races of the season, the annual Oxford 250, right around the corner, the fastest drivers from all over the Northeast came to Oxford Plains Speedway with the Pro All Star North Series to compete at the legendary track. This would mark the first trip for Dalton Sargeant and the Windows10 Bond Suss Racing Toyota Camry but they looked like veterans during practice being at the top of the leaderboards and winning their heat race.  With a heat race 2 win, Sargeant would start from the 2nd position and at the green flag maintain his position solidly in the top 3.  As the race wore on the veterans of the tricky Oxford Plains Speedway began to come alive, relegating the rookie driver all the way back to 7th, but with a few late rate restarts, Sargeant was able to claw his way back up to the top 3 and with the finish, earn a starting spot in the Oxford 250 just a few months away.

"This was a tough race, not only for me as a driver but my team as well.  This track is extremely challenging and a configuration we don't ever see throughout a season, so it was tough to adapt as a driver and tough for my crew to adapt as well.  We fought hard all weekend around some really good drivers and teams so I'm proud of where we needed up.  I knew the late race restarts were the only way I was going to be able to get around some of the more veteran drivers and fortunately for me it worked out in my favor to claw a 3rd place finish out of it."
