Pensacola, FL (December 2, 2015)-NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR K&N Pro Series East competitor, Dalton Sargeant will be piloting the GALT Wauters Motorsports Toyota Camry Super Late Model in the 48th Annual Snowball Derby at 5 Flags Speedway, on December 6, 2015.

Sargeant, the 17-year-old Boca Raton, FL high school senior, was the runner-up in the 2014 Snowball Derby and hopes to advance one spot this year and claim the Tom Dawson Trophy.

“The best short track race all season is right around the corner so we’re all really looking forward to the Snowball Derby, it’s something we’ve been working towards all year. Every time we’ve been on track this year at 5 Flags Speedway with the GALT Wauters Motorsports Toyota Camry it’s been toward this weekend.  We’re taking a brand new car which we’re really confident in but at the same time it’s really hard not to bring last year’s car that we finished 2nd with. I replay last year’s Derby over in my head all the time, how I could’ve beat Nemechek because we were so close there at the very end. This year hopefully we’ll be in that same position and contend for the win.” Dalton Sargeant said.

The 48th Annual Snowball Derby will mark Dalton Sargeant’s last event of the 2015 racing season, which included an astounding 40 events all across the United States in five different racing disciplines (Karting, Late Model Stock, Super Late Model, NASCAR K&N Pro Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series). Sargeant was able to rack up 4 wins, 3 pole awards, 16 top-5 finishes and 26 top-10 finishes.

The 48th Annual Snowball Derby weekend kicks off with the Cat Country/WEAR-TV3 Green Flag Party on Wednesday, December 2.  On-track activities start Thursday, December 3, for the opening practice rounds for the Snowball Derby SLM cars. Qualifying for the Snowball Derby will be Friday, December 4th.

Saturday’s SLM action features the 50-lap last chance event for Snowball Derby drivers to make one last effort to qualify for the 300-lap SLM race.

The green flag is set to drop for the 48th Annual Snowball Derby Sunday, December 6 at 2:00pm CT at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL.
